Privacy policy
Last updated 23 October 2026. Raptor Sites is based in Sydney, NSW.
This policy explains what personal information Raptor Sites collects, why, who we share it with, and how you can see, correct or delete it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If anything here is unclear, email hello@raptorsites.com.
What we collect
When you enquire through our website
Your name, business name, email address and phone number, plus anything else you choose to give us on the form: your type of business, preferred package, current website, and what you want the website to achieve.
So we can tell which of our campaigns work, the form also records the page you sent it from, the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link, and the preview reference if you came from a preview we made for you.
When you become a client
The details we need to build and run your website and bill you: contact details for the people we deal with, your business details, and the content you give us for your site (text, photos, logos). Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not see or store full card numbers.
When we prepare a free preview for a business
We sometimes build a preview website for a local business before it contacts us. To do this we use business information that is already public, such as the business name, services, trading area, and business phone number or email address, from sources like the business's own website, online maps and directories, and the ABN register. Where the business is run by an individual, some of this can be personal information.
We use it only to build the preview and contact the business about it. Previews are private links: they are marked as a concept made by Raptor Sites, hidden from search engines, and their enquiry forms do not send anything. If you would like a preview of your business removed, or our records about it deleted, email us and we will do it promptly.
When you contact us
Emails and messages you send us, and our replies, so we can help you and keep a record of what was agreed.
Technical information
Our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic browser information to deliver the site and protect it from spam and abuse. We use your IP address to limit repeated form submissions; we do not store it with your enquiry. When you start filling in the enquiry form, it loads Cloudflare Turnstile, a spam check that looks at browser and device signals to tell people from bots.
Enquiries sent through our clients' websites
When someone uses the enquiry form on a website we run for a client, we pass that enquiry to the business and keep it so the business can see its leads. We handle it on that business's behalf, and the business decides how it is used. Please contact the business directly about its privacy practices.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from automated traffic. Pages load nothing from other websites, except Cloudflare Turnstile once you start using the enquiry form.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare your preview
- to build, host, maintain and support your website, and to send you lead alerts and reports
- to bill you and keep business records
- to tell you about changes to our service, prices or these policies
- to understand which of our campaigns bring enquiries
- to protect our services from spam, fraud and abuse, and to meet our legal obligations
We do not sell personal information. We only send marketing emails as the Spam Act 2003 allows, and every one has a way to unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run our business. They handle information on our behalf and only for that purpose. Some of them store or process it outside Australia:
| Provider | What it does for us | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts this website, runs the enquiry form, filters spam and bots (including Turnstile), and keeps short-lived security logs. | Global network; Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States. |
| Supabase | Stores enquiries in our database, and runs the server code that saves them and sends our emails. | Database in Singapore (ap-southeast-1). The server code can run in other Supabase regions. |
| Resend | Sends our emails, including enquiry alerts and confirmations. | Sends from Japan (ap-northeast-1); Resend is based in the United States. |
So personal information may be held in Singapore, Japan, the United States and other countries where Cloudflare or Supabase operate. When we add a provider, such as for payments, we will update this list. We may also share information with our professional advisers, or where the law requires it.
How we keep it safe
All traffic to our website is encrypted. Our enquiry database can only be reached by our own server-side systems, not from the public website, and access to our accounts is limited and protected. No system is perfectly secure, but if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as the law requires.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a website: deleted within 24 months of our last contact.
- Businesses we prepared a preview for: deleted within 12 months if we do not hear back, or straight away if you ask.
- Clients: kept while you are a client. When you cancel, your website is deleted within 24 hours after we send you its export, and removed from backups as they cycle out. Billing and business records are kept for 5 years, as tax law requires.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
Email hello@raptorsites.com to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. It is free, and we will respond within 30 days. If we cannot do what you ask, for example because the law requires us to keep a record, we will tell you why.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, email us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. If a change significantly affects how we use clients' information, we will email our clients about it.
